James Bond: Caribbean Plant Named After American Ornithologist Whose Name Was Used for Fictional Spy

The Jamesbondia, a new subgenus of Caribbean plants, was named after James Bond, an expert on birds, Plant Biosystems reported. Writer Ian Fleming took Bond's moniker to create the spy character.
